Idigbo Carpentry
When master craftsman Gary Collett approached me about his digital presence, the disconnect between his exceptional carpentry skills and his online representation was immediately apparent. Despite three decades of experience and membership in The Institute of Carpenters, Idigbo Carpentry's homemade Wix website wasn't doing justice to the calibre of work being produced.
The existing website presented several challenges. It struggled to effectively communicate the breadth of Gary's expertise, which spans from structural first-fix carpentry to bespoke joinery and kitchen installations. The site's structure made it difficult for different customer types to locate relevant services, and poor SEO implementation meant the website remained largely invisible to search engines, despite being operational for some time.
Understanding that Gary's work embodies precision and attention to detail, I knew his website needed to reflect these same qualities. My solution focused on three key areas:
Professional Presentation
I began by refining Idigbo Carpentry's existing branding, ensuring it aligned more closely with the craftsmanship and quality of Gary's work. The design choices were deliberately made to mirror the precision and professionalism that Gary brings to every project.
Improved Navigation and Structure
I restructured the website to create clear pathways for different customer types. Whether someone is seeking first-fix carpentry for a new build, looking for kitchen installation services, or requiring bespoke joinery solutions, the new structure ensures they can quickly find relevant information and examples of Gary's work in that area.
Search Engine Optimisation
I implemented comprehensive SEO strategies throughout the site, ensuring that Idigbo Carpentry would be visible to potential customers searching for carpentry services in Rugby and the surrounding areas of Warwickshire. This included optimising content structure, meta descriptions, and ensuring all images were properly tagged and described.
The website was built with both current needs and future growth in mind. I incorporated a robust projects system to showcase Gary's impressive portfolio of work, making it easy for potential clients to view past projects and understand the quality they can expect.
Understanding the importance of lead generation, I implemented clear calls-to-action throughout the site, making it straightforward for potential clients to request quotes or make contact. The contact forms were designed to gather relevant project information while remaining user-friendly.
With future marketing plans in mind, I built the site to be compatible with Google Ads campaigns. This forward-thinking approach means that when Gary decides to explore PPC advertising, the website is already optimised for conversion tracking and campaign integration.
Launched in August 2024, the new Idigbo Carpentry website now serves as a digital showroom that truly reflects the quality of Gary's craftsmanship. The improved structure and navigation have made it easier for potential clients to find and understand the services they need, while the enhanced SEO implementation has significantly improved the site's visibility in local search results.
The website now effectively communicates both the technical expertise and artistic craftsmanship that Gary brings to every project, from structural carpentry to bespoke joinery. It serves as a professional platform that matches the high standards of workmanship that Idigbo Carpentry's clients have come to expect.
The new digital presence not only showcases Gary's impressive portfolio but also positions Idigbo Carpentry for future growth, with the flexibility to expand into digital marketing when the time is right.
